2. disturb (vt.)

(1) 打擾: cf. disturb (vt.); interrupt (vt.)
- Sorry to disturb(= interrupt) you, but I have an urgent message.
- The sign read, “Do Not Disturb”.

(2) 使煩惱不安: upset; worry
   - His behavior disturbs me.

(3) 擾亂: disrupt
   - His visit disturbed our morning routine.

3. *maintain balance/ health/ social order
- The equipment is poorly maintained.
- The company still maintains that the drug is safe.

- He remained single/ a bachelor all his life.
